I mean, he's not wrong - there are 100500 different filters and shadow (or real) bans in all western MP games adjusted for all the sensitivities and other nonsense. Pretending it's not the case is just delusional.

Be that as it may - I don't support censorship in any form and for any reason. Western devs don't get a pass here - and so do not the Chinese ones. It sucks big time and all it does is pushing people away. Because those who really want to let their "protest spirit" free = will use TS or some other VoIP with their teammates.

I don't like it anymore than you do. But this is the reality we live in today. Yes, pretty much everything is either Chinese or Indian spyware for data collection purposes. This is how terms-of-use become a million pages long. To make sure liability never falls on those responsible for what comes from the spying. Though, a terms-of-use on a video game where a 7 year old could click "accept" to see the flashy graphics with their favorite marvel characters is weak at best in serious courts of law, this is still where we're at.

This whole thing is just a drama started by a Overwatch fanboy who sent a picture to a Youtube ragebaitter called Asmongold, and that molerat quickly logged into the game to farm content (he was kinda wishing for the game to fail anyway). There is no point to argue about this anymore, the more you fight for this stupid thing, the more likely that molerat and his minions will come back to haunt all of you.

At the end of the day, it's the gameplay, the optimization that truly matter, everything else is just noise.
