SVP
I've been in some games where the SVP seems to be given to players that don't deserve it. Is it just random? I know it doesn't matter much in Quick Match, but in Comp it does because SVP doesn't loose points.

How does the SVP even get picked?

its a mixed bag tbh, i've seen someone with 8 assists get SVP (mvp for the losing team) beat someone who had 48 kills etc. the most funky part about the game is some highlights, i got mvp for doing a 5 killstreak within a short time and my highlight was before the round started so it seems pretty funky

Yeah, I agree its very random. I don't think they have the system worked out.
It's not random, but I'm not sure how precisely it works. It seems that while kills and assists alone don't really matter too much, as the damage seems to be what matters more. Landing the killing blow, too. Healing, Damage Taken, and even sitting on the objective while you do these things seem to matter. A support that focuses on Healing only will not get MVP over a support that heals, kills and sits on the objective for most of the match.

Also, remember that not only doing damage but also landing the killing blow matters, but the amount I'm not sure of. So a player with 50 kills that only did a small portion of the damage will probably come in behind a player with 30 kills, 30 killing blows, and 25 assists.

So... Players that pick something like Peni get a mixed bag of Kills, Heals and Damage Taken and often get MVP, whereas someone like Luna focusing more on Healing and some damage won't often get MVP. Moon Knight landing tons of assists and damage won't get MVP as often as Hela, because his damage spreads out a lot while she puts people down quickly, without sharing the damage. Etc.

So... Not random. But also not always going to give the actual MVP the MVP award. A tank without a good Healer is often dead, but a Peni will usually get MVP over the Healer that kept her alive the whole match.
