Should I dedicate one full year to mastering Psylocke?

As title suggests, I am getting depressed. I am level 35, lord status with Psylocke, and yet I still underperform with her. So I decided to commit my new years resoltuino to only play Psylocke in 2025 in hopes I will be as good as the good players who play her at the end of the year.

Is this a good goal and do you feel I will get that skill level with her by next year?? Do you think Psylocke will still be as good as she is now in the meta a year from now? I need to know so I know whether this is a good goal or not. I wanna be a Psylocke specialist in a year from now.

Nothing to enjoy when your team is consistently negative IQ. This game really does provide insight into the overall intelligence levels of the general population. Great social experiment, really.

This is true. Especially since Psylocke appears to be super team dependent. She does great when your team is good, but falls apart when they arent. Sucks, but hopefully things change in the future with her.;

Personally I'd say wait till the first balance patch before you make such a long term commitment lol.

Honestly, even if she gets nerfed to the ground, I feel she will have great value in the right hands. I just have to figure out an alternative way to play her in that case. Worst case scenario, I become a low tier god.

There is reason why she has high pick/ban rate and is used in tournaments constantly. Basically in this game you can make any hero work if you become high skilled expert with it. Psylok is not bad hero to one trick and she is that kind of hero that almost require to do so, so you can make it work as best as possible.

And when those players have their only good character banned, they just auto lose and essentially throw the match for 5 other players. Cool. That sounds like a great way to play. Like I said, you can master several characters, be a crazy flex player and rack up more wins, or you can dedicate 100% of your time to one hero and be a useless clown when it gets banned, someone faster than you takes it or red team decides to counter it.

You got a point, but...
That's why good OTP player have back up characters to play then, some simpler character. You really think some Hulk OTP can't play some easier vanguard if he practice little bit? OTP doesn't mean you can play only one guy and then be total potato with everything else. For some new players who haven't touched any other heroes that might be the case. After all, there can only have 2 bans, rarely someone bans punisher over hela and hawkeye. Psylok is getting banned tho quite a lot, but on higher ranks it's more stupid than clever to target ban some guy main hero rather than let them have some OP hero open for team that certainly have atleast 1 or 2 guys that can play it.

Ask yourself: is it even a problem with your Psylocke play or your fundamentals? No amount of Psylocke specific training is going to help if your fundamentals are crap.

Commit yourself to saving your country and getting a real skill. This game will be dead in at least a few years. Its wasted time and effort. "Mastering" a Chinese spying app that is actively taking your energy away from improving yourself and causing impotent rage and feelings of sadness should not be a priority.
