Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals

View Stats:
PC fully restarts randomly.
Specs:
GPU: Rx 5700xt
CPU: 5600x
RAM: 32 gigs
PSU: 850w

Some days I play for hours straight, no issues at all. Others it'll crash mid game or even just in the menus. No correlation between crashes that I can identify. I can't find any fix and these crashes aren't even being reported due to the PC just restarting. Only game this happens to me on. Any one else having this issue? I've adjusted every possible setting in game and otherwise. I'm at a frustrating dead end.

EDIT:
I've troubleshooted everything I possibly could and have come to the conclusion that this is not hardware related (at least in my instance). Without a doubt an issue with NetEase and something only they can remedy. All my hardware stress tests fine, temps are normal. My time on Rivals is done until this is addressed.

running heat monitors? maybe monitors on voltage sensors? in the old days random restarts were a power issue. these days, however, an overheating component can also trigger a soft restart.

Maybe something wrong with your hardware. When it warms PC turns off.
Are your drivers updated?

Temps never exceed 70 degress C on GPU and CPU

All drivers up to date. Even uninstalled and reinstalled to double check if it could be the issue with no luck.

dude I have the same problem I have more than the recommended specs and even so whenever I load up the game it shuts down my PC whilst in the loading screen. drivers updated, windows updated, under 65 degrees, IDK whats going on.
stress test your CPU/GPU. Test your RAM and SSD. Could even be the PSU. If it is hardware failure than you should be able to replicate the issue outside the game.

Check out your windows event viewer and see if there are any errors being reported there. Could even be an issue with newer versions of windows, windows 11 can have its own issues depending on how up to date it is.
I'm having the same issue, thought I had it fixed but then all of a sudden, pc restarts. Ran fine(but slow) before on rx590, just got msi 3060 and it was fine for a while and then it started rebooting my pc mid-match. PSU is a brand new gold 80.

PRO Z690-A DDR4
12700K
Corsair 32GB 3200
MSI 3060 Ventus 3

I've stress tested, installed new drivers, did a fresh windows 11 install. I'm at the conclusion that it's just something with Net Ease. No issues outside of this game and nothing points to hardware failure after many hours of troubleshooting. Decided I'm done with Rivals until it's addressed.
what storage device do you use? Is it NVME? those can run hot if not properly installed. You could end up having that overheat and crash.
I bought a UPS last night and it seemed to have solved it, dirty electricity if it stays working

RAM OR HEAT Problem
Download Speccy to check your GPU/CPU heat if you have no problems with heat then its ur rams

That'll be when the West Taiwanese spyware is updating, don't worry about it.
Try stress testing your PC on CPU and GPU simultaneously with benchmarks and see if it crashes.
If not, it's could be RAM. What configuration you have? 4 sticks of 8GB or 2 sticks of 16gb? Sometimes systems can struggle with 4 sticks of ram one one of them is dying\faulty. You can test it by removing one set of RAM sticks and try playing with half the amount.

But there is also a small possibility it's being power issue, either due to overclocking or some other issues. When PC components run out of voltage for just a brief moment, they can go bonkers and crash.
Bought a $60 APC ups from walmart, fixed my issue of my pc only restarting randomly in game.
Same thing was happening to me. Drove myself crazy trying to figure it out. Until I was in the settings during a game and turned on Frame Limits and it insta-rebooted. Turned it back off and haven't had an issue since. It's definitely the cause for me. So try that. Good luck!
