I have encountered various cheaters, what stops cheater from using a new steam account?
I have been playing Marvel Rivals for a week now. I have gotten pretty good at playing but upon reviewing some highlights, i have noticed people getting kills without aiming, through the wall etc..

At first I didn't want to believe it, but when I reviewed a lot of the footage ( since I am constantly recording). I noticed some players hacking. Unless these are bots, I don't know who has such abilities.

Hawkeye literally killing enemies through walls, the Punisher turning 180 degrees in a split second and instantly killing an enemy etc.. Frankly, it's not like I see it every match, but it does occur every few matches or so. This isn't simply me getting killed, but it's review footage that serves as evidence. The cheating usually comes from ranged heroes never from Venom , Wolverine , The Hulk, Dr.Strange etc..

The hacking never seems to come from Tanks, it's almost always from shooting heroes.

Since Marvel Rivals is a free game, what stops players from simply opening a new steam account even if they get banned? There seems to be no penalty whatsoever for cheaters.

The point to which I am trying to get, if MR is free and you can open a new account in seconds, what's the incentive for cheaters to stop?

There is no incentive for them to stop. There is no solution other than an anti cheat that works.
But We know most anti cheats only get the most obvious cheats so yeah,
No solution.
the solution is block theyr's hardware , ban the mother board or the graphic card , they will thing 1000000 cuz they cannot buy a new pc for decades

HWID bans are easy to circumvent because HWID is so easy to spoof. (It also has a low chance of resulting in a ban of an innocent player as well, if the right HWID is somehow spoofed.) This is why so few companies employ the tactic.

The truth of the matter is that people are not banned from a service without legal action being taken. Only accounts can be banned. So there is literally nothing stopping someone from creating a new account.

that is correct and the cheater can get his level 10 back in one hour and thirty minutes playing conquest
I feel like lots of people are wall hacking. I'll be standing in a corner behind a few layers of walls just chilling to ambush the enemy team and somebody will magically know where I am. In the kill feed the dude that found me is literally cross hair locked on me from the time they leave spawn.

cheaters will lose all account progress when banned,so people will not

yet another reason i loathe f2p games. Companies make bookoo profits while we get hammered by cheaters. Sure cheaters can just buy another copy but when a game costs money its a taller hurdle than making unlimited free accounts.
