Heating issues with CPU
13th Gen Intel i7-13700F

liquid cooled

no issues with any other game. Literally, no other game gives me this issue. When I played my CPU temps jump to upwards of 85-95 degrees Celsius. Ive tried too looking up this issue. Ive seen everything from "your cpu is outdated" to :the devs need to optimize better for certain cpus".

my cpu is not overclocked. I double checked. liquid cooling is working as intended. no issues there. Fans are working fine and I even turned them up to max and still get high temps during Rivals gameplay.

My gpu temps are perfectly fine. No GPU issues.

Am I missing something? Anyone have idea what's going on or how to fix this issue? I'd rather not have to go buy a new CPU just for Rivals. Thanks.

Bumping because this is important to me and there are too many posts whining about other junk.

RAM?

Currently this game has a massive memory leaking issue. The recommended specs lists 16GB of RAM, but it uses far too much currently despite being stylized. People say it's a UE5 problem, but The Finals, a game that aims for a realistic aesthetic and has far more environmental destruction is not a memory hog like Marvel Rivals. This indicates that there's a problem with this game in particular. This is a common theme among UE5 games though, so I hope that developers start getting better at addressing this issue instead of just expecting us to deal with it.

Memory leaking could lead to increased CPU temps as your CPU usage can get very high in order to manage the increased memory allocation. Still those temps are pretty high.

The only solution that people have is restarting the game after a few matches and lowering the settings.

13 and 14 gen cpu have serious stability issues, have you updated your bios with the microcode intel released?

I'm not exactly sure how to do that. I'll look it up and update after I've figured that out.

I have 16gb ram. I haven't noticed any ram issues.

One question, you said no issues with other games do you by chance have Helldivers 2? Does that happen in that game? (I take it not if you have it since you said it never does) Only asking to reduce what can possibly cause this.

Yay! Looks like the uodate worked. No temps above 75c during the match.
