Moon Knight is tough, but can be good. It's very hard for him to deal with ambushes when his ankh is on cool down. To be effective, I think you really need to find an angle to drop them behind enemy support (and ideally, at least 1 other back liner), kill them quick, then back out. If your teammates are paying attention, they will push and you can rejoin the fight by targeting the vanguards for some density dps. You can also choose to target dangerous backliners like Hela and Hawkeye with him (particularly if defending an objective). A strategy that sometimes works, if you're being harassed, is to reserve your ankh and bait them in to a confined area where they can't dodge your combo. Often as soon as they see the ankh drop, they'll try to run, but won't be quick enough. Strong players with good aim will probably just try to out damage you though, and may still win.
Just dropping an ankh directly in the middle of an even slightly experienced team doesn't generally work nearly as well in ranked, as it does on random noobs in Quick Match. The ankh usually gets destroyed almost instantly. Furthermore, if the enemy team has a Vanguard with a shield, shooting from the front is very often futile.
But I have lots more questions about groot and luna snow, they are much bigger problem
