No joke, my first five comp matches had a teammate quit mid-match in four of them. I have yet to have 4 teammates quit after dozens of QP matches.
Well, my first comp matches as a lv 26 people where doing 2/2/2 comps and even counter-swaps on bronze, so it seems ppl on ranked atm knows what to do compared to launch day. And matches can be sweaty.
Its really no surprise that you saw more and more of this behavior the more mainstream gaming became. There used to be a time when gaming was kind of niche and filled with intelligent people who understood its a video game for fun.
QP is there to practice heroes. Practice them in there. Doesn't matter how random things are.
You are there to learn the basics of the hero. It doesn't matter that it's different from ranked as it's only to learn the hero, the abilities and best ways to play the hero.
Then you go into ranked and apply that knowledge together with your gamesense to play ranked properly.
It is not your mastering of a hero that will carry you through ranks but your gamesense. Mastering doesn't become important until Diamond and GM.
Do not smurf, practice in QP to learn new heroes and then go to ranked.
I guess Doom Match can work and FFA means no teammates to screw over. But that's a temporary game mode...
