Quick-Play: The Biggest Waste of Time in This Game

Alright, let’s lay it out straight: Quick-Play is an absolute disappointment and a massive waste of time. Here’s why:

1. The Bots

Nobody—and I mean nobody—wants to play against AI bots. It’s boring, it’s frustrating, and it completely kills the vibe. The devs need to wake up and remove these bots. Period.

2. Trolls, Griefers, and the “Quick-Play Bros”

You’ve got trolls, griefers, and players who join just to throw the game. And when you call them out? You get the same tired line: “It’s Quick-Play, bro.” Like that’s some kind of excuse to waste everyone’s time.

3. Cheaters

The cheaters on PC are out of control. They’re selling cheat apps for $20 a month over on Elite-PvPers. Meanwhile, console players are stuck at a massive disadvantage, because Marvel Rivals has an aim-assist so weak, it makes Apex and CoD look like aim-bot paradises.

All of this leads to one simple conclusion:

If you actually want to learn new heroes or improve, you’re better off playing VS AI (Three Stars) than wasting your time in Quick-Play. At least there, you won’t deal with trolls, griefers, or cheaters.

Here’s what needs to change:

Remove bots from Quick-Play.
Implement a better MMR system to keep matches balanced.
Add an anti-cheat system that actually works.

Quick-Play should be the training ground for learning new heroes and getting comfortable before stepping into Competitive. Right now? It’s a circus, and the devs need to fix it. Fast.

There also needs to be some sort of system to force non-idiot team comps. If not role queue, than a min 1 max 3 system where if there are 3 dps already, you just can't pick a DPS at all.

I'm just expecting my team to field an actual viable comp. It doesn't feel unreasonable even for casual.

Quick-Play: A Hot Mess You’re Better Off Avoiding"

Let me break it down for you:

Quick-Play in this game is an absolute disaster. It’s borderline unplayable because people aren’t here to win or improve—they’re here to lose on purpose and troll the hell out of everyone.

Your only real option? Skip that circus entirely. Stick to Practice vs AI on three-star difficulty to get some actual training in, then alternate between Competitive and Vs AI. Quick-Play? Just pretend it doesn’t exist.

Now, here’s the kicker: If I’m a Platinum Tank but I want to learn a new role—like Support or DPS—my MMR and rank drop significantly for those classes. That means I’ll lose more points while I figure things out.

Overwatch has lasted nine years because, at the very least, its Quick-Play is acceptable. Sure, you get trolls, griefers, and throwers, but at least one out of every three matches is playable. Meanwhile, in Marvel Rivals? You’re lucky if one out of six matches feels like anything close to a decent scrim for Competitive.

Fix this mess, or Quick-Play’s gonna keep dragging this game straight into the ground.

I have to wonder if some of the people complaining about QP in this game are contributing to the problem themselves lol. My experience has been fine. Some crap teams and games but just as many if not more good ones. Even some great ones occassionally.

I guess I'm a nobody because I like the bots system. It keeps you from ever being truly outnumbered. I will take the bots over 6v2 or long queue times any day

The game gives you the tools to solve this problem but instead you come here to complain. I've gotten almost a dozen "healers" banned for refusing to heal. I literally have mail in my box right now letting me know another one got banned.
