Matchmaking is broken?

The game's matchmaking has been completely broken these past few days. After reaching platinum I, I've lost 100% of matches in solo Q these past two days. I've heard of other people who've deranked heavily, losing 15/20 games in a row. I get dps that get 0 kills and tons of deaths, and leavers are always on my team. Before now the games were still very balanced, but these past few days it seems like something has really broken in the matchmaking system. I hope they fix it, otherwise I'll quit.

If you are in a lose streak - you quickplay for a few hours and try ranked later.
It's not worth tilting over.

Also - there are better times to do Ranked, and its typically when less casual players are playing (Weekday Mornings during most work hours)

Not to be rude, but I have reached Diamond 2. Some games will simply be unbalanced. Normally this is due to team composition. You might have a healer that cannot get value, or you might have 3DPS, when you could have a second tank... Sometimes people get countered and do not switch... For instance, they will run a dive comp against Penny Parker without taking out the nest. At the end of the day the key to ranking is to work smarter and not harder, alot of people simply do not get this.

It could be this, but in any case it seems something has changed in these last few days, because up until today I have always played both on weekdays and holidays.

That's not the point, because the rules of the game haven't changed since it came out. I just pointed out this string of repeated defeats that doesn't seem to have happened to me alone.

happened to me to, hit plat and its insane how bad people seem to be? I swear it was more competitive in Gold/Silver. Plat feels like people didnt solo Q to the rank then there friends stopped playing and solo Q and just suck.

Man let me tell you something, Im in the exact situation.
I have 160 hours in the game, I can play any role easily and playing almost all characters as well.

I always let people chose what they want then I play what is missing ( most of the time Im top stats whatever the role ) but Im just stuck in Plat 1 for weeks because my team is always too bad I dont know how they can be at this rank . And also I dont remember having so bad players in Gold rank.

I had dps with 1 kill in the entire game. Healers with 4k heal. people disconnecting.
People playing spidertroll with 0 kill.
And its even not only a stat thing, its just feels like they are trolling in general because they don't do anything in the match.

I didnt lost 15 times in a row but 6 times.
Its been two days that my ranked sessions are like : in 4 hours I downgrade plat 1 to plat 2 to finally go back in plat 1.

my ratio is like 1 win - 4/5 defeats - 1 win.

I took many break, playing casual ( thats why ive even had the time to learn almost every characters )
When I go back in ranked I have the worst mates ever and it's bothering me because the games are really easy.

I could accept it if it was about close matches with strong opponents

It's not broken - that's intended behavior
If you reach your goal fast enough - you will leave the game = less chance you buy skins
They give you to win but a bit, so you won't reach your end goal fast

You letting random dictate your experience is actualy a problem. You are kind to do so, but you are better off carrying the game with your personal experience. You carrying people is actualy kinder then letting less skilled players choose how they die.

nah, that's an easy way to have 4-6 dpses in your team.
dpses are not the real carries in this game unlike common opinion

It's the hero shooter thing, everyone wants to play dps but noone can actually play it so unless you do it you will lose. That's the reason overwatch did role queues and it still sucked.

All i want is the cheating to be addressed. There is zero reason I should have 14 notifications of cheaters being banned. I enjoy the game but with it becoming the biggest issue the game has I am close to deleting it entirely

I had the same feeling too... it seems like people were helped by someone and then left platinum. Up until gold the matches were extremely more pleasant, with defeats yes, but always balanced and hard-fought matches, where skill made the difference.

I don't think that's the case. I don't think anyone who has reached the diamond or grand master today has found this difficulty, also because they also found the time to create a smurf account and start over. Maybe that's what's ruining the game too.

well, i am solo Q diamond. it's not forced 50%, but there is some poorly tweaked retention algorithm to make games easier the more you lose and more difficult the more you win

typical stuff for all PvP games with free2play buy skins monetization
