I say this about literally every hero shooter ever.
Cool. And where can I learn to play equally well for a certain rank other than in ranked mode?
You got yourself into a rank you can't handle. Now you have to risk ranking down while you learn. This is why you shouldn't even touch Ranked until you have decent proficiency in all 3 roles.
I have no sympathy; you dug the grave, so lie in it.
What are you talking about??
Let's simulate the situation. I found a game, my team had 4 support players and 2 tank players (including me). Matchmaking didn’t give me a dps player on my team and one of the supports (most logical) needs to take someone they don’t play at the proper level because they didn’t have the opportunity to learn it earlier
And now your advice is to troll the game because matchmaking and the lack of role queue decided so?
I did exactly that for over 2,300 hours in Paladins; so again, I have no sympathy for you.
Hell in that game I'd start learning a character in bots, and wouldn't even go against humans until I could win without dying consistently. And then I'd only take them into Ranked once I was comfortable with them and their moves were reflexive. I was briefly in the top 13% back in season 3 there because of this methodology.
And that game had 4 roles and a pick-ban system so you had to know a minimum of 12 characters to be sure you always had the needed role.
It's literally a "them" problem.
And I recommended 3 star practice because those bots are generally better than most human teams you'd find in Quick Match.
So are you seriously saying that trying out a character in training or quick play will give you enough skill to play it in platinum+?
There is no way I will get enough experience from these modes, especially quick play, which most people play for fun and there is no comp/teamplay.
Literally every ranked match I’m on the tank, since everyone else is picking dps or supports, often I’m the only tank on the team. Again. Will Quick Play teach me how to play at Platinum+ level? Seriously?
And it was only my 5th match as Warlock.
