With competent team mates he can be pretty oppressive at high levels of play so there is risk of overbuffing him as well
his grab is great...when it works. the hit box is weird on it, you need to be practically inside your opponent because if not you'll clip through their head as you jump over them. go and watch those diamond players matches, they will miss the grab A LOT because of its weird hit box. it's good that he's best as a tank killer because the tanks are so much bigger than him and makes the grab work more often on those specific characters.
YES. Like I said, you need to press right click and shift fast like the combo with Alistar in league of legends to catch them.
after playing him in the practice mode i just never bothered playing him in an actual match (yet). Wolverine was my favorite characters (use to own Wolverine 1-105) gave them all to my nephew when he got older tho. the first thing i did when i got Rivals was buy the Wolverine (yellow suit) and practiced with him in the mode.
my question is, does the right click/shift work at all on the shorter characters like Jeff or Rocket? Like Wolverine is suppose to be 5'3" tall and he still misses and jumps over people taller than him.
Yes right click into shift will work on all characters if you do it right. There is some skill to it as you want the right click to connect with them before shifting.
As a rule of thumb from played experience, if your claws are touching the character model of the victim you will land the leap.
kinda figured it would be worse with the shorter characters and probably with a bit of jank.
ty I do plan on giving him a shot at some point, will try to remember this.
