DR Strange portal crash (possible FIX)

Just fixed my issue after trying everything else suggested to no avail.
First I checked task manager performance tab to see how many cores I was utilizing which was 2.
1. Go to windows search and type "msconfig"
2. Go to the boot tab then advanced options
3.Uncheck "numbers of processors" and restart system
(also I enabled xmp profile in BIOS)

I went from 2 cores to 14, to be fair I upgraded my system for this game so I was frustrated I was crashing on better hardware. My cpu doesnt max out at 100% anymore, I guess Strange portal just tipped it over the edge and froze my game.
Not sure this will work for everyone but good luck.

Bro I've been itching to play with my friends for like a whole 2 weeks now but I haven't been able to since I just crashed whenever dr strange opened a portal. This post needs more recognition. Currently running i7-12700KF and RTX 3050 for my rig (not the greatest but its what i got for now), was running into strange portal crash almost every time i played. The moment i made this change, it changed everything. THANK YOU FOR THE FIX!! GOD SEND!!

For me it was unchecked but was showing 1, checked it and set itnto the max (4 i have a weak pc in general)

Bro thank you sooo much, I just bought a new cpu and my game kept crashing which I found really strange. But this was the reason why. We need more people like you, thank you.

did this solution worked for anyone else? still facing issues disabling or enabling the number of processors
