Surprised not to see talk about this hot topic already. It's a big deal, but complicated, and so the hot takes and headlines are flying fast and furious and misleading.

My summary:
When a new season starts, your accumulated battle-pass currency will be auto-spent on everything it can be in the previous pass and then the remainder is wiped away.

Except you will be refunded any excess currency that you purchased directly with premium currency.

The old battle pass will still be there so you can use your future accrued currency to finish it off.

Bonus currency that comes with the purchase of the luxury battle pass doesn't count for carry-over.

There's 3 currencies.

One you buy with money and can convert to any other currency.

One you kinda get through battle pass unlocks that you can buy skins with.

One you earn by playing which allows you to unlock the other two and also battle pass stuff.

Battle pass currency has always reset on any other games aswell. Its not like they're taking away your IRL-paid currency, only the ones which are meant to be earned and used within battle pass duration.

I didn't say anything contrary to what you have, just to be clear.

I'll note, however, that "other games do it" isn't especially meaningful, especially when this game deliberately touted its battle passes as different from the (terrible) industry standard in that they "don't expire".

This news has upset and confused a lot of people, and I'm trying to clarify, same as you!

You can... there is this icon in right upper corner. Click it and Galacta appears with all PASSES that you have (Meaning One... at this moment). You can switch between PASSES and you will be collecting currency for PASS of your choice.

Assuming that you bought the PASS... because F2P will be gone.

Chrono Tokens are just XP for the battlepass. No, they don't want you stocking up on XP from past seasons, so you can fully unlock a new BP on day one.

Stop being pointlessly dramatic. If you care this much about experience points, in a game thats less than a month old... you need to sort your life out.

I've seen folks being dramatic about this in other places, but not in this thread. We seem to be on the same page here. (except for the troll who seems to have had their posts removed)

Battlepass XP always resets in other games why is this an issue? Free ones get wiped, paid ones stay. It's fair and it legit takes no time to grind the BP, I'm just swimming in the purple tokens rn
