By looking at value PASS will always be "worth it" because you get FEW skins for price of one if not less and can ever re-obtain some tokens. Not to mention potential rarity of those skins since I doubt that they will sell them at shop later... and this PASS will be unavailable to purchase in the future.

You can buy and keep it or dont buy and forget about it.

Take note that amount of tokens you gathered will reset at start of new season and you will have to gather every purple crystal thing from 0. Saying that... if you are starting late and if you will buy new PASS in January then you will have to grind a lot to keep up to date (and probably buy a s01 boost). If you dont care about catching them all... its up to your taste.
