Everyone playing is from OW lol, the ranking system is hard especially if you solo que at low level where people don't care about making a good team comp and are doing whatever. I just hit Gold and it said I was above like 82 percent of players, this number does not include players who have never played comp so its more like 95% lol. I believe it too most people are stuck in Silver and Bronze it will take a while to get out of those ranks if you aren't doing a stack, using voice, or playing multiple roles like tank that most people don't want to play. Or becoming really good with the most broken characters like Hela, Iron First and Hawkeye.

If you play dd then yes, you should git gud. If you playing healer or tank, you have to grind to get out of there

After 50+ hourse i finally start playing solo ranked and went from bronze to gold in like 3 hourse or less. Every game was +50 points exept for 3-4 loses. Played mostly on Thor and almost every game i have the most kills and dmg, sometimes double than my dps. Maybe i was lucky having a good healers on my team, idk. Im strugling with fps drops cuz my pc is old but playing in bronze/silver was very ez.

You can't rely on others to carry. YOU have to be the carry. That mentality brought me up to Diamond.

I am 38 and i am not good at aiming , i am at platinium i carry mostly with tanks or heals.

Heroes matter as well... following Top500 will give you nothing. DrStrange for example is so weak that fighting Thor 1v1 you will not even scratch is 100%HP because his shields are stronger than your autos... and his hammer hurts.

Portals OP... wasted potential for 90% of playerbase
