ranked is unplayable

went from plat 1 top gold 3 because of useless teammates, no healing every game or players not going to the objective. also picking like 4 dps characters. anyone else have this issue. its like im stuck now with bad players forever? the devs need to ban players that que and do nothing all game. we need some compensation for hackers that ruin our games,

Most people on here, or elsewhere will say : If you do have skill, it will reflect on your elo/rank. And I call it BS. And they never played any competitive game that requires one single thing : Synergy.

You, alone, cannot carry an entire team of idiots. Even more if they all pick DPS, and you're the only tank/healer.

You'll never see a team on high rank/elo without a well composed team. Unless they do know they have the advantage and decide to swap characters to have fun.

Just look at Healis team comp or any high ranked player and you'll have a vague idea about what I'm talking about.

They are not bots. If they were the 0/9 black panther wouldn't reply to a suggested swap to healer or tank with "but i won't get elims" LOL my brother in christ you have no elims. This was also in one of my comp matches when I was in gold.

For the DPS thing: That's why we need role Q.

In general: Yes a team that doesn't do anything good will cause you to lose but you should atleast have decent stats still. If your stats are also bad then it's not just your team.

Always ask people to swap roles if theres too much of a single role. Idk if I'm lucky but most people seem to switch in ranked if you ask nicely.

I literally just started ranked and am only in silver but did 9 matches, won 8, got MVP on the majority of them. Can't talk for gold yet but anyone in silver or below who can't climb: Yes it may be a you issue.

Are you sure you are doing things correctly?
Think of your positioning, using the environment, using corner peaking, knowing what targets to go for first, how to counter the enemy team etc.

Idk I played Overwatch alot and learned alot there but it seems that here in Marvel Rivals everyone just throws out the most basic rules of proper gameplay. The amount of times I had to ask people not to go in solo when the team is coming back from spawn is just insane... It's a teamgame, you have to wait for your teammates to go in unless you know you can survive and contest a point for example (think Luna Ult contesting untill the teams back when time is running out).
That's just one example.

Anyways I hope you get some better teams and are able to climb, never give up, keep improving and learning! Perhaps try find some people to Q up with so you know you have some people you can count on atleast. That's something I'm trying to do as well rn.

I only play ranked when I have friends to play with for reasons you mentioned. I seem to do fine in Quickmatch solo queue'ing, but tend to be less fortunate in ranked play.

thats because in QP they will give you pity wins with bots on the enemy team

unless they add changes to ranked like bans being available in lower ranks, role queue, premades of 4+ getting matched against other premades, etc, ranked is a coin toss. this isn't really a game where you can solo carry unless you have aimbot installed in your brain and playing hela, hawkeye, or punisher. it's all on the whims of the matchmaking if you get paired with decent people. multiple times i solo kill both healers while applying backline pressure, and turn around to see my team is somehow wiping lol

I am in gold and yes there are a lot of people that instalock dps i have seen from bronze to gold. You know how I made it to gold? I decided to play vanguard or strategist. Everyone wants to play duelist(dps) and everyone swears they are great at it. I got tired of if we lost a game even though i would have 15k+ damage and 20+ kills it was my fault we lost(this coming from the guy that wanted dps but had to play something else.). So now i heal and no one talks crap and if anyone dies I can say you should have stuck with the team. That or if i am being dove you should have covered me. The team is usually on my side with this as well.

Yes i want to win games like everyone else and play who I want. However you got to accept the fact that 95% of the player base wants the be the hero IE the guy that beats everyone not the person going you get a heal and you get a heal etc. So that is something to think about as well i highly suggest treating this game like a moba learn about 3 people from each role and then you will never have an issue.
