However, please note:
You’ll need to create an account to access certain mods.
For NSFW mods, an account is mandatory. So, if those are what you're after, a little extra effort is required.
Well... I would not suggest paying for stuff while you are using them because you will lose them along with entire account. Maybe "later" than "sooner" but dont come back asking "WHY? IT WAS ONLY X/Y"
lol this guy hates on the game while literally advising cheating for an easy kill / enemy to deal with.
Data for the anti cheat, hero data, map data, everything. Thats probably why the updates haven't had even minor balance tweaks. Once S1 starts I feel like theyll be cracking down a lot more on cheating and modding, stuff like that.
Id be shocked if there wasnt something in the ToS already essentially saying mods are not allowed and you could be banned.
People are playing this that have never played competitive games before and are assuming it wont matter. It will. When theyre already having Esports tournaments with big cash payouts. It wont take long for them to start cracking down on cheats and modding.
...
Okay yes it's a compromise but if it means that casuals can use mods, and we avoid some cheaters in serious maches i'd say it's the right thing to do.
Yeah but you also gotta think. The games revenue comes from skins. If they allow modding thats going to take money out of their pockets. Cause whats to stop someone from lifting the skin model from the game and repacking it into a mod. Or just modeling it yourself and offering it in a mod.
Its a risk honestly. I could be wrong. But, I see this game developing an large competitive scene if the developers play their cards right. All the ingredients are there. So They may become very protective and strict about modding. Esports has a lot of money behind it. They dont want to go the OWL route and have it turn into a several billion dollar mistake. By allowing anything to make the game look bad or hint at the possibility of people being allowed to cheat.
