Are the skins over priced?

Does anyone else think that skin prices are ridiculously over priced?

I mean take the guardians of the galaxy bundle, they want damn near $50.00 just for 4 skins. I mean maybe if you're like Donald trump or Bill gates rich you'll think this is a good deal i guess. Idk. What do you guys think?

slightly yes but that ground has always been a thing with marvel even before disney came into the picture. its iphone mentality, they know its overpriced but they also know people will buy it regardless.

for example on day 1 i bought the iron man and spider man movies outfits (i dont even play spider man) and i bought the lunar skins on friday. yes im part of the problem lol

I bought the battlepass which wasn't crazy expensive, and with the currency claimed from it I got the christmas venom skin, which I'd never have bought by itself with real money for its price.

Yes they are overpriced. Yes it is intentional. No it is not inherently a bad thing (imo). The game is free, the heroes are free, all the modes, maps etc. are free, the cosmetics are the only thing that they really charge for and even then you can get a few of those for free as well.

I don't mind the business model personally since I see it as something of a give and take. But I also likely wont ever buy a full priced skin in this game as thats the price of a full on indie game lol.

I agree, some are high but honestly the Season 1 pass has been very generous with the amount of excellent looking skins that you can get for the price of a cup of coffee. Hopefully they continue creating passes with plenty of value at a reasonable price.

Yes I do think they're over priced how ever the game is free along with all the characters so it's a price to pay fir cosmetics and not pay to win idems so I think it's fair

Since this has come up again:

Do your shopping for skins from the character's cosmetics page, rather than the store itself. You'll often find much cheaper alternative skins that can be reasonably attained by grinding units.

The game itself is free-to-play.

The default skins are awesome.

The skins are cosmetic only.

You can unlock skins by participating in timed events.

You can earn a decent amount of in-game currency just by completing milestones with each character.

All that being said, and considering they have no other opportunity for monetization other than skins - no, the skins are not overpriced.

Skins in almost all online games are overpriced because they are aimed at people who will pay that. It makes up for the rest of the game being free though, so it has it's merits I suppose.

I would say however, their battlepass is genuinely a good deal for what you get; and you'll get back enough credits that you can knock most premium skin bundles down to being just like a $10 purchase each with some of the credits you get back.

This is pretty much how I've been buying skins. I only get the battlepass; and then when it gives me like 600 or 800 credits back I get a skin for $10 for someone I enjoy playing right now that I want.

Yes they are overpriced. You'll still buy them though. Please enjoy your slop. No I ain't spending a dime on cosmetics I absolutely hate this game and hope my friends never ask me to play it again.

when I started playing league I swore I'd never buy a skin and then I started putting so many hours into it with my friends that in my mind it was justified.

If my group continues playing this game AND an amazing badass skin comes out for one of my mains then maybe I'd buy it. But as it is now there aren't even any cool skins in the game outside Magik and I don't play her
