Is this actually true? Love the game but without role queue its near unplayable comp wise... Every game is 3-4 dps, half of which have no idea whats going on.
But I have yet to see a game with 6 dps. I always fill, but even then, I have yet to see 5 people hard pick dps.
What rank are you playing? At plat i am seeing 5 dps regularly. Yeah 1-2 will eventually swap off to something after we lose first round but by then its too late, its game over.
There are times when I lose three games in a row as an SVP, which often leads to pity matchups against bots (which is really demoralizing). Yes, bots are present in quick match, and there's evidence of this if you search for it. What's frustrating is that about 80% of the time, I'm MVP/SVP as the sole healer—something that isn't by choice.
When I was seriously trying to climb, I found myself stuck in the healer role most of the time because most players prefer to play DPS. Even when I, as SVP, out-heal both my co-healer and the enemy healers combined, it’s not enough to carry the team to victory. I've gone 40:0 in KOs as SVP, but it's not just about skill—it’s about teamwork. Unfortunately, 80% of the matches feel lopsided, with very few 2:1 or 1:2 victories.
On escort missions, I often spend most of the match bouncing in and out of spawn, trying to heal teammates who are getting spawn-camped for several minutes.
I still manage to enjoy the game occasionally, especially when I get a close, well-balanced match. The game feels great when things are working as they should, but it's underwhelming when they're not. The sense of accomplishment fades when the enemy team can’t even activate the escort vehicle.
I've mostly stopped playing because I've hit three separate loss streaks of three games each. It seems like if I lose three times in a row, I'm thrown into matches with bots as part of a pity system, which has become repetitive and tiresome.
Overall, I believe this game is an absolute gem if you have a decent group of friends or teammates willing to cooperate. It's still fun if you’re not playing competitively in solo queue. However, the biggest change that needs to happen is the removal of bots.
