Devs literally want people to pick who they want
The long-term solution though would be making Tanks and Healers more fun to play with more variety, movement abilities and better crowd control. (Like Adam Warlock has 0 escape and CC. Meanwhile Magneto can only press W outside of his ultimate)
They released with the same problem Overwatch had at launch with not enough Healers and Tanks and way too many DPS characters in a competitive genre where each role is just as important.
There was even a meta for awhile in OW where you only brought 1 DPS in a game where the developers made tons of options for DPS and only a few tanks and healer.
Shake it up so hard they end up hating DPS.
Maybe then the non flex players will leave and good riddance.
Problem is in this game Tank and healers are not really tank and healers. If we get role que we have to change rework or nerf their dps if that stil leaves them with a good kit. Only real tank is Venon/Hulk and Dr Strange. The rest are More berserk and dont really push lines as much as they are DPS. Same with Healers, some healers like frost are insane dmg/heal. They can easily be a fill for dps with added bonus of a healer, she only lacks one button click ulti for easy kill.
There no easy fix really, to make matters worse chalanges that give blue tokens require character combos so people lock in the character to get the blue coin and I 100% agree with that logic. I want blue coins because they give you skins from the shop. If I have to lose a game but get the coins I will lose the damn game and get my coins.
