Do yourself a favor, don't solo queue competitive

You'll have a miserable time like most of the people posting on these forums.

I myself had maybe a 40%ish winrate, regardless of how well I did. If you have a bad dps or two on your team, it doesn't matter what your tank soaking is or your healing output.

Grabbed a friend to play with and winrate jumped to 60%. Got a 3rd friend to play and we won 75%+ consistently with a few 5-6 game winstreaks. We didn't even play amazing. we aren't pros. But removing 2 potentially bad players from our team in the form of randoms was huge.

This game seems like it is designed to ruin your fun if you try too hard in solo. Just play with friends and you can be average at best like me and still win almost all your games.

And ya, it absolutely shouldn't be this way. game needs solo queue badly. But if they aren't going to bother, using a party is the easiest way to climb ranks, like unbelievably easy.

as a former Overwatch original player, not that OW2 crap; i agree. i don't bother with comp in any game not just fps. because people who lurk as try hard toxic are everywhere. hell even in casual quickplay. the amount of people even in your own team tilting you for not contributing their share or aiding to get an advantage is like the stars in the skies. and yea, i play a lot on my own, so i avoid comp like the plague. but many don't get the memo and just go quickplay to ruin the fun in quickplay casuals too. as if, they got sick of being defeating in comp and rage in casual's space. it's unhealthy stacking. the moment you see your team all trying to go offensive roles or zero interest in supports, you know your match is pretty much down the drain. the funny thing is unless all of them play extremely well as dps without dying, then great. but the odds of that is nil; constantly demanding for someone to change for their sake or request the impossible that they can't even comply. it's just typical fps insanity.

Next time it happens I'll send ya the replay. It's been known. They backfill at least Quickplay with bots. Very easy to spot as their AI is god awful and their naming convention is simple AF.

Pretty sure they do this to speed up how quick you can find a game, but who wants to play with bots pretending to be human on their team? lol

wait. frfr? the matches in any degree are bots? not real players? no wonder it is mostly a lose lose play. even for events like jeff winter's skin. i get why now

I wouldnt know. As long as it doesnt happen in ranked, its not as bad. Still bad

Here at least support tank mentality really is rewarded. I have such a high knowing I was the factor that made or broke my games. I even got compliments saying I carried as supp lol

I legit gave up on comp. Won my first game then lost my 2nd. Ow well ♥♥♥♥ happens. Then lost my 3rd. 5th. 10th.

I don't have friends who play this so I have to go solo but the player base is garbage. I main healers/supports and every match I get yelled at for not healing. Meanwhile, I'm getting attacked by 2-3 enemies, I die then the time it takes to respawn they die and it's my fault. Like help the healer? That's not some super high intellect idea right?

Then today I said ♥♥♥♥ it and played something other than healer. Only to have a Jeff on my team mad I picked his hero but I ignored them. So him and his friend, other healer with same clan tag, never healed me. Then the Jeff used both of their ults to grab me and throw hme off the map.

I promptly left the match and just gave up on ever playing comp again.

It really blows I have to sit here and basically be a hiring manager to find people who want to win a stupid video game. It blows even more how many people who play comp are wet vegetables and have no business being there. I wish there was a way to flush those idiots and retain the people who actually want to win and climb and not keep having to deal with all these morons who are dead weight.
