Do yourself a favor, don't solo queue competitive

You'll have a miserable time like most of the people posting on these forums.

I myself had maybe a 40%ish winrate, regardless of how well I did. If you have a bad dps or two on your team, it doesn't matter what your tank soaking is or your healing output.

Grabbed a friend to play with and winrate jumped to 60%. Got a 3rd friend to play and we won 75%+ consistently with a few 5-6 game winstreaks. We didn't even play amazing. we aren't pros. But removing 2 potentially bad players from our team in the form of randoms was huge.

This game seems like it is designed to ruin your fun if you try too hard in solo. Just play with friends and you can be average at best like me and still win almost all your games.

And ya, it absolutely shouldn't be this way. game needs solo queue badly. But if they aren't going to bother, using a party is the easiest way to climb ranks, like unbelievably easy.

What do you consider average, I had 4 friends in comp for a bit and we got bricked.
Granted I'm the only Overwatch player in the group that actually understand how to play and it was our first day but I thought it'd go better. We have a couple of savage aimers and a good healer but they made the usual fps player tunnel vision mistakes.

Like aiming percent on Strange? What's average to you? I figure 35-50 percent because that's what I do and I know my aim is average.

Well yeah, you can communicate with a team... in solo q you have to work on basically carrying your way up the ranks lol

Honestly it wasn't even the communication, we don't talk a ton when we play.

Biggest thing was knowing that person would simply carry their weight and pick the role that the team needed.

Solo Queing comp, climbing to Gold, might reach Plat if I push a little more.

Can be done, players are kinda bad here so you can carry easy if you have the skills. Your problem sounds like you're just praying for someone else to carry. In Brozne and Silver don't worry about Team Comp theory, if nobody is carrying switch to DPS and go bazinga. Assuming you have the skills to do it. You can also do it with a Support or with a Tank; I DPS carry as Jeff and Peni all the time.

Don't be so rigid and healbotting or just soaking damage. Defense doesn't win games. Killing enemies does.

i dunno. ive been having a ton of awful soloq matches, still at 52% with almost 100 matches

I play with friends, then I drop in ranked, then I play alone for a while and get my rank back.

I've only climbed up to gold, with ease, then I stop playing, I just want the skin anyway.

If you're playing to win, you're going to want to get yourself reliable teammates that you can count on instead of randoms who are all a coin flip wither or not they're good or not.

yeah game is agony as solo, in CS or apex so much easier to carry bots, but this game is full of them even if you play like a god its harder to carry.

Learned this the hard way. I only play competitive with friends now. It's not worth playing with 4 instalock dps's

This. I feel like getting to even higher ranks requires putting even more hours. And if you are employed, best of luck lol, because it will demote you simply for being inactive

I don't hasve any friends to play with. That being said I am about 30% winrate with solo queue. the only good thing - Losses -10 or -15 points. Wins are +40 to +50

If you take a second, you can try to find new friends to play with on their discord, on these forums, and even in game by simply just asking for them. Don't even have to put a lot of time or effort into it.

Just a little bit of work, but will greatly improve the quality of your matches the more reliable teammates you find. It's totally worth it.

Don't really need sweaty friends, just ones who will talk and have good synergy on how they play with you and that's it. It can still be really laid back dependent on the enemy teams you get.

Feels like the game has no protection against premades in any mode. So yea premades are OP.

Literally had a quickmatch with my buds where it put us against 5 bots and 1 real player. (Bot names are NameAb or NameAbc) I felt so bad for the only real player, the bots would just dive the point solo and immediately turn around to attack the Peni spider nest every time, their AI is just awful.
