Yes, the gameplay is somewhat similar, but it introduces a few new elements such as team-up abilities and seasonal buffs for a good number of heroes, i just think the game feels better to play too, maybe because its a bunch of new heroes that we haven't played as, but if you played overwatch a lot, you might enjoy playing Rivals, if anything just for a bunch of new heroes, or the lack of role queue, minimum.

The game feels better to play than it might look, give it a shot, it's free after all.

netcode is forgiving, no crouch for a small starter.
No heal reduction

1000+ hrs overwatch here: Its basically a shot for shot other than the 3rd person view and rule34 characters. Better in every way compared to OW so far.

Yeah as everyone said this similar to Overwatch but it's the roid'd up version where everyone is lethal, everyone has 4 abilities minimum and the ults are over the top and ridiculous.

A very avoidant answer lmao. And no, there isnt a honeymoon phase. Rivals is in their trial phase and is already objectively better than the current state of OW2. Go back to ♥♥♥♥ riding
