before that i was getting packet loss of about 10-20% but it wasnt nearly as bad as it is after winter update.
My ping also now is 1.5-2x times higher on any of the servers.
Whats annoying is that i dont even know if im getting shot half the time, like i get one shot, then check killcam and i ive been shot many times all shots were spread out by like 1-2 seconds, and half the time my abilities dont go off like at all, and no its not my keyboard as it recognises the presses but the game doesnt
before you ask, the ping is now 40ms(instead of 15-20ms i was getting on release week) and no loss at all, but somehow feels a ton worse than with loss
1) This is the main issue for the lag and shot delay for me personally so I'm listing it as the first thing you should check to see if it fixes things for you. For some reason my game will lag and have shot delay if it is in Borderless Window. When I change it to Fullscreen, it fixes the issue and my shots no longer suffer from delay even if I'm at 60 ping. You have to do this every time you login to the game because for whatever reason the game doesn't save the change.
2) Change your server to only one server, the one that has the lowest ping. You also have to do this every time you login to the game because for whatever reason the game doesn't save the change.
3) I try to get the highest FPS my PC can achieve so I have everything set to minimum graphics settings except for Anti-Aliasing and Super Resolution. I have my Anti-Aliasing set to Nvidia DLSS since I have an RTX graphics card (RTX 2060). Super Resolution Mode set to Balanced and Super Resolution Sharpening set to 80. This allows the game to look decent and not a jagged mess despite everything else set to low settings. Also, if you have the ability to do this, I turned on NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency. It's in Settings > Display > Low Latency Mode. It increased my FPS a decent amount. Some settings are not saved by the game, so you may have to change some of your settings again during every login.
Crazy that this is even still an issue. Has a fix been found for the constant crashes? They get worse with every update for me...
ETA: Thank you very much because it was the fullscreen thing that fixed it for me
