But as a strategist, you need to care about:
-- Trying to identify your target and focus it down (yes, same as duelist)
-- Keeping yourself alive (which is much harder since your 1-1 is usually weaker)
-- Identifying the target most requiring the healing and - well, healing it
-- Making sure you balance healing your team and damaging the enemy properly
-- Using your utility abilities, like damage boost - on right targets
-- Peeling for your other strategist (almost a must, unlike for duelists)
-- Contesting the objective (duelists are who knows where, tanks are bodying the enemy)
I'm not mentioning mechanical skill since that differs from hero to hero and there are duelists with much lower aim/skill requirements than any strategist and vice versa. On a positive side = so many responsibilities usually mean much higher skill ceiling and agency to do stuff.
You can only keep a trash dps alive forever against.... other trash dps.
Competent DPS will outheal healing and kill your puppy.
Maybe in sub silver ranks but this is definitely not the case and this line of thinking is what makes every bad tank and DPS blame the healer when things go bad. Good DPS will just crit down the ball of garbage that you are healing. Equilibrium will be lost no matter the level of healing if your side does not start to kill or the tanks don't create any space.
