Healing = Highest Skill Cap
In most games playing DPS is the clear winner of difficulty and deserves most praise, but holy christ this game makes bad healing stand out SO much. No other game rewards teams for having a highly focused healer that pumps you full of hp and can dish it out when everyone is winning to help drive home the victory. I don't think people quite understand that you can keep a trash DPS alive forever and -eventually- they will overcome the enemy team DPS because they just don't die. Now if you give the enemy team a healer that is focused on damaging all game rather than healing their entire team crumbles.

So
Healers = GODS
DPS = DEMI-GODS
TANK = TANK

True, as an Iron fist main if i see you getting pocketed I just never target you. Not worth. Even targeting the healer aint worth, just move on to someone else and hope i can catch one of yall alone

Strategists generally require more game sense and situational awareness. As a duelists, you need to care about:
-- Trying to identify your target and focus it down
-- Keeping yourself alive
-- (If you're really good and situation allows) peel for your strategist
-- (Maybe, if you're fighting the enemy there) contesting the objective

But as a strategist, you need to care about:
-- Trying to identify your target and focus it down (yes, same as duelist)
-- Keeping yourself alive (which is much harder since your 1-1 is usually weaker)
-- Identifying the target most requiring the healing and - well, healing it
-- Making sure you balance healing your team and damaging the enemy properly
-- Using your utility abilities, like damage boost - on right targets
-- Peeling for your other strategist (almost a must, unlike for duelists)
-- Contesting the objective (duelists are who knows where, tanks are bodying the enemy)

I'm not mentioning mechanical skill since that differs from hero to hero and there are duelists with much lower aim/skill requirements than any strategist and vice versa. On a positive side = so many responsibilities usually mean much higher skill ceiling and agency to do stuff.

You can only keep a trash dps alive forever against.... other trash dps.

Competent DPS will outheal healing and kill your puppy.

Maybe in sub silver ranks but this is definitely not the case and this line of thinking is what makes every bad tank and DPS blame the healer when things go bad. Good DPS will just crit down the ball of garbage that you are healing. Equilibrium will be lost no matter the level of healing if your side does not start to kill or the tanks don't create any space.

I got to diamond by solely playing rocket and pumping my team with heals. Literally have somewhere around 80% win rate out of 24 matches with rocket. Healing is so easy in this game.

Unless you're Rocket then you can just avoid combat and keep your teammates topped off forever until you need to drop an ult. His DPS is pointless and only meant for picking low hp enemies off or wittling down tanks that get too close
