You cant charge £17 ($22) per skin AND have limited access to those cosmetics, because others dont want to play against that hero...

Will pay ZERO to play this game while hero bans exist... Simply because people start to recognise your name, and ban your heroes even if they arent an s-tier pick... SO you get no money devs GJ.

Maybe learn more than one character? Honestly, Rivals solved the biggest OW's issue with OTPs without forcing rock-paper-scissors gameplay. I feel like Rivals doesn't get enough praise for just that one thing.

And regardless of skins, you'll need to pick at least 3-4 characters to be successful in ranked - especially since you're talking hero bans, so dia+.

Its a free game. Skins are gonna be more expensive. Like it or not, the hero ban system is healthy for the game. It solves a lot of balance problems within the game by allowing higher ranked competitive players to ban characters that are meta and need balancing. This season that would appear to be Hela, Hawkeye, Luna Snow, and Hulk that I see get banned most frequently. You need to be able to play more than one character. Certain characters are inherently countered by others, so what do you do if the entire enemy team is built to diff you?

spending money for entertainment is perfectly fine.

Well those heroes will get nerfed eventually and then you will be able to play them in Diamond and above. until that happens, you just got to play those heroes in quickplay.
