Ideally you need several leagues bleow the starting rank that are fairly difficult to get into but also pretty easy to climb out of.
What this does is let the REALLY bad players and trolls fail until they're playing with people of similar skill instead of dragging others down with them into ELO hell - while also giving them ample opportunity to get out of 'wood league' or whatever you want to call it.
That fixes nothing, what if you're a "good player" who got unlucky and paired with the "really bad players" you'd still get into ELO hell and whine that you don't belong there.
I've been dealing with Matchmakers since the days of Halo 2. Quickplay options where an AI bot pairs up people has always been a problem and a let down for me. Your Randomized teammates ( not completely, but it feels that way ) tend to act randomly in match, and more often then not you'll get at least one aggravating teammate every single time, let alone multiple...
Matchmakers are honestly never good when it comes to teammates. This is why I recommend actually making friends and creating parties yourself every single time a topic like this is created. It is the absolutely best solution for this problem.
So you mean that every Bronze players feels atleast better because there is still Wood I-III?
This game is just as bad as OW , ppl will find out soon enough :)
If you’re rollin’ Tank, stop playin’ 'I’m pretending to be a Tank' with Venom. Yeah, I get it, he’s my favorite, but let’s face it—he’s just a Fat DPS, kinda like Doomfist or D.Va. He ain’t even in the same damn league as Winston.
Instead, pick Dr. Strange. Drop that portal, pop your ult, and throw up that shield. Be the damn protector your team needs. Any other Tank right now? Ain’t gonna carry your squad. Don’t sweat it—he’s not gettin’ Hero-Banned. Why? Because those bans are saved for the DPS heroes.
If you’re healin’? Go with Luna Snow. But if you’re up against a Dive comp, switch to Jeff, Rocket Raccoon, or Cloak & Dagger. Same deal—Luna’s safe from Hero-Bans since they save those for attackers.
Now, if you’re playin’ DPS, don’t pick Hela or Psylocke. It’s too late to master them unless you’re head over heels for their lore or gameplay. They’re both catchin’ nerfs next season, and they’re already heavily banned starting at Diamond. Instead, try Iron Fist if you like Dive comps or Punisher if you’re feelin’ a hit-scan vibe.
There you go—take it or leave it, sunshine. Your call.
Unless you are one of those that cause the problem.
