How do I turn off joining mid-match?

I just do not want to have to join a game in progress and don't see any options for gameplay anywhere.

They should do like Overwatch where if you successfully complete a backfill you don't get another one for a while.

I'd rather just not join it at all. I'm just gonna back out and take the time penalty. Better than playing a match on the backfoot.

I agree it’s bs that I can’t turn that off anywhere in the setting. Why would I want to join a losing team. Just makes you tilted off rip

It's kind of random the situations you get thrown into as a substitute player. One time I barely even left spawn and the match was finished.
