Stop taking him in ranked if you can't play him. I'm tired of seeing you solo jumping into enemies and dying. I'm tired of seeing you have the lowest damage and kills on your team at the end of the game. Go practice somewhere else, please.

I have lost a LOT of matches in comp because of someone playing their favorite character, Spider Man, and going 4-12 and refusing to swap off the entire match because "Spider Man is my favorite character I'm not swapping" or whatever.
Not sure why Spider Man over all characters attracts this kind of person.

But when they're on the enemy team they're slaughtering the backline repeatedly, constantly doing the combo to me and killing me, catching me any time I try to flank, somehow dodging every sleep I throw out as Mantis, and being the worst nuisance I have ever experienced.

I'm already starting to think about banning spider-man, because spider-man on my team is worse than Hela or Hawkeye on the enemy team

That's because nobody knows how to play him properly. He can't just run in and try to fight bc he's not tanky. Personally, I play him and Iron Fist as back-line disruptors, assassinating supports or snipers and then dipping. Idk if that's the optimal way to play them, but I've found success in it.

Most just don't realize Spidey is a pure ganker and not a fighter.
There is a reason why he is so quick and can even camp at the walls and ceilings.

Because they know there's nothing you can do about them wanting to play Spiderman. But that's just how thing are and will continue to be going forward, exp when you solo queue up period.

dmg/dmg blocked/healed - all these stats barely matter, divers will usually have less than straightforward shooters like hela/punisher/hawk.
What matters is when and what kills are made and if the objective is taken care of.

There is no skill required to accumalate highest dmg by shooting tanks as punisher or diving and dying as Venom while having the highest dmg blocked.

In general, ppost-match stats shouldn't be used as a single source of info to decide who played well/bad

exactly this, spideys hit and run/assassination playstyle isn't shown on the leaderboard. the attention you've taken away isn't a stat, the healing you've stopped isn't a stat. a spiderman could be breaking even and still be doing a lot

I feel a spiderman should focus on cleaning up fights and diving healers, so they shouldn't have a ton of damage but they should have the most final hits

Seems like it wouldnt be a problem if you had enough friends to field a team. Now I'm going to go back to sucking at spiderman until the repeated use makes me good at spiderman. And no, you cannot do that in quickplay and practice modes where people are more interested in having team deathmatches and aren't moving, fighting, and teching like they care about the map objective.
