Bottom right of your taskbar right click audio thing while your game is open and open volume mixer, go to Marvel Rivals and hit down arrow on right (I'm on windows 11 not sure if it would be different for window 10 users) set your defaults to whatever your using.
2nd thing is to set your discord to run as admin by right clicking on whatever shortcut or way you open it (i went to file location) and you can go to advanced properties and set to run as admin every time.
Make sure your in game voice settings are set up to your proper mic
try unmuting and muting by opening in game voice options (default P)
Anything that also uses your mic or can mess with other games might also be an issue but I'm not confirmed on that (i.e. riot vanguard that's open when your play Valorant) you can close something like that by going to bottom right of your task bar and removing it or hitting the arrow and removing it.
Edit: If none of the above works i also went through my antivirus that I'm using (bit defender) and made exceptions for the game it self and for the following.
NETEASE.COM
EASEBAR.COM
Don't ask me wtf those are cause idk but either 1 worked or combination of all 3.
Edit 2: so i still have few issues i tried 2 things a combination of the 2 has fixed it again
try making the launcher.exe launch as admin.
Try changing the key bind back and forth and testing it my usual key is T but when i changed it to my mouse button and then back to T it started working on both keys.
I did all the steps above, except the firewall thing, but I tried something extra. I went to the settings and keyboard binds and unbound my push to talk. I set it back to the default keybind, and set my mouse button 5 as the secondary, then I unbound the original key.
Like the above mentioned, I don't know what step exactly fixed this for me, but it works now.
Edit 1: Also, I restarted the game after thinking it wasn't working still, but noticed after several quick plays and my first comp game that it was working.
Little bit frustrating because I would rather not use open mic.
how did you unbound the original key? :D It always uses what iam pressing :D
You can set individual binds for each character individually right? As well as an "All Heroes" set of binds as well. The individual ones will overwrite the All Heroes. I was having the issue of not being able to talk in game and found it was because while I had set my push to talk button in All Heroes, it was the default on some of my Individual heroes. Might not be everyone's issue, but worth checking to see.
And I had this problem since the launch of the game in season 0.
I am extremely surprised that the developers have not fixed it, because I have seen a lot of people whose microphone in the game does not work either
and the overlay also sometimes doesn't show who's speaking
