Marvel Rivals has a problem with racism and toxic behavior.

I have played several games now, many ranked matches but also quick matches. Initially, the quick matches were extremely toxic and racist, which has now largely shifted to ranked matches. There is barely a game without toxic or racist comments, whether it's about someone's possible origin, people not playing anymore because they're against something, or whatever else. Almost daily, you get death wishes or are told to kill yourself. I'm surprised that NetEase Games hasn't done anything about it yet or very little, and I'm even more surprised that something like this is still being marketed through Steam.

Btw this guy is the one being toxic games (source - his stream), he lies about banned accounts (he didn't ban anyone) and also he just returned from temporary ban he earned in another thread - just for future reference for everyone else here.

It's a free game with open chat, of course it's bad. It took me like ten games of Competitive before an opponent told me I should be Luigied because my team won. Ignore chat, report people who are going too far, and enjoy the game :)

If you go in options, you have the possibility to mute chat by default (not like there is much value to be found there), but you prefer to play the victim and feel vindicated by getting others banned, don't fool yourself, you're as pathetic as those edgelord in chat lmao

An IP ban can avoid this problem. If they ban your IP there will be no way to play on the same computer. This would be great for banning duplicated smurf accounts that also ruin the experience for new players.

I dont think you understand how simple it is to bypass an IP ban....Even a HWID ban is super simple to get around.

I am sorry you have had a poor experience and it is a hard thing to police.

If the games voice chat is baked into the replay as well as the in game chat, you could report them after the fact.

But as a Free to play game, even if their account is banned, there is little stopping them from creating a new account.
