Marvel Rivals has a problem with racism and toxic behavior.

I have played several games now, many ranked matches but also quick matches. Initially, the quick matches were extremely toxic and racist, which has now largely shifted to ranked matches. There is barely a game without toxic or racist comments, whether it's about someone's possible origin, people not playing anymore because they're against something, or whatever else. Almost daily, you get death wishes or are told to kill yourself. I'm surprised that NetEase Games hasn't done anything about it yet or very little, and I'm even more surprised that something like this is still being marketed through Steam.

First, don't suck at the game. Second, I've only ever encountered truly toxic players maybe 3-4 times since launch which by pvp game standards is quite chill. Conclusion, you're either lying or the unluckiest person on the planet.

Nothing new. People are garbage, and only care about themselves and trying to be "funny" or "cool" when they're actually being weird and cringe, because they can behind a monitor. They know when and where to act the way they act because no one can do anything to them.

Just report them, they deal with reports pretty quickly in my experience.

You can also disable text chat (Settings > Keyboard/Controller > Communications > Scroll to the bottom to "text chat" and it will tell you how to hide chat)

And you can disable voice chat in (Settings > Audio > Scroll down to "voice chat" and it should be the last option under "mic volume")

Not seen anything remotely like this in 57 hours. And so rare in almost 2000 hours of Overwatch on that side. Toxic people attract others. Keep your own hands off the keyboard and your mouth shut.

An IP ban can avoid this problem. If they ban your IP there will be no way to play on the same computer. This would be great for banning duplicated smurf accounts that also ruin the experience for new players.

fyi 90% of people have dynamic IP and all they need to do is restart the router to get a new one. and the unlucky ones who get the banned one will have no idea why they have been banned.
