They've already stated multiple times now that they are not going to add it.

Instead ask for placement/qualifying matches that decide your Competitive starting placement; this will filter out the players that don't know how to adapt the team composition to the lower Ranks, as they are less likely to win.

5 out 6 rounds i played where 4 dds and no tank with me as healer. everyone refused to take one. noone made a kill as their fav char. i asked if someone would pick a tank. got told to pick one. sure let´s get rid of the healer

I'd rather they not go in the same direction as Overwatch.

Overwatch was ruined by how much Blizzard focused on it being a competitive e-sport rather than the fun focused game it was that made it popular in the first place.

They're not interested in adding this appearently. You're going to have to form premade parties with friends in order to get this.

I submitted a suggestion that they consider a "soft" role queue where you just tick a box of all the roles you're willing to play so that way each team at least has 1 person willing to play at least 1 of each role, but functionally doesn't change anything. That way you don't get in a lobby where absolutely nobody is willing to play vanguard or strategist.

Could people finally start being honest and either:

Because the abstract "we" could include just about anyone. And I, for once - don't think any role queue is needed. MR devs said it perfectly:
