Instead ask for placement/qualifying matches that decide your Competitive starting placement; this will filter out the players that don't know how to adapt the team composition to the lower Ranks, as they are less likely to win.
Overwatch was ruined by how much Blizzard focused on it being a competitive e-sport rather than the fun focused game it was that made it popular in the first place.
