On the off chance you're not baiting, you get every hero for free from the start, and new heroes are also going to be free. The only thing you can buy in this game is the Battle Pass, skins and name plates.
The catch is that Units (the free currency you get by doing missions and getting achievements) is scarce.
That's what you use to buy skins and name plates. So you have to buy Lattice (paid currency) which you can then turn into credits at a 1:1 rate.
Skins are 1600, 1800, and 2800 if they're from a Marvel movie or show. So if you want a really cool skin that's, let's say 1800 Units, you need to buy $20 worth of Lattice (which is 2,180) to turn 1800 of it into 1800 Units to then buy the skin.
Lattice is also used to buy the Battle Pass.
That's about it for the "catch."
I knew there was a dirty catch.
Hook, line and sinker, kek
I've been impressed with Delta force's monetization as well.
