In silver its so much better and more skilled but I guess idk I grind ranked when I can play because of the Moon knight skin and every match im losing I legit cannot rank
its easier to get grandmaster in chess than in MArvel Rivals to Silver
ez mode
The problems are two fold. 1) all competitive starts in bronze. They really need placement matches like OW. As it is now, even GM players start in bronze and work their way up. For the GM player, this is great. They get easy games until they can move to where their normal rank is. For the bronze/silver players, it sucks because they have to deal with an endless stream of high level players stomping them into the ground.
and 2) pre-mades vs solo queues. If you are not part of a regular pre-made team, you are going to have a rough time in games like this. Even worse, you end up going up against 6 stacks of GM players trying to rank up themselves, because they all start in bronze and have to play there to get to where they are going.
and as a bonus, 3) smurfs. As we saw in OW, there will always be GM level players who keep a low level account so they can group with their friends, and when they do, they always group in bronze, meaning, no matter what, bronze in this game will always have the raw deal.
Face it, Rivals, at this point, is just OW with different graphics
you can do that only because you are good enough to be in plat, the people who may only be good enough to be bronze, silver, or gold, have a MUCH rougher road, as a solo queue player, due to the fact that they will always be playing against plats, masters and GM's who are working their way up.
Grats that you made it out, the rest of us are stuck with what you left behind
Like you just said. Because that is where you belong. *shrug*
I also recommend getting good at a few characters that are similar (i.e. Warlock is similar to aim mechanics like Hela), and then carry it over to comp. Most importantly, PRACTICE YOUR AIM! Headshots are always better, even if they are harder to hit on squishies, but if you get them even somewhat consistently, you will climb with consistency as well.
the problem with this is, it only works if you group with a regular team all the time. It doesnt work for solo queue players because, they are going to be grouped with different people of different skill levels every game, so it would be impossible to rate their skill on an ever changing field of players. and given that ALL players, bronze - GM, start in bronze, assessing skill levels of solo queue players is almost impossible.
the only true consistency is if you play with the same people every time.
What is this supposed to be a "dis"? lol. of course im where i belong, i recognize that not a high level player, so you're not telling me anything i dont already know. However, that doesnt change anything. The low level competitive game absolutely sucks right now, because of what i just said.
You think that low level competitive should suffer so people who are high skilled can have fun?
No difference. In OW you had those Ranking In Games and you got most likely placed around Gold when you did well but not perfectly well. You still had way better Players in any team who just destroy you. It needed some time till everyone was on his level.
And still Years later you had those Bronze to GC Videos on Youtube.
Give the Game and yourself some time and you will be the Rank that you actually deserve.
i understand what you are saying, i just think the way they are going about it really is a bad idea, because it will, for perpetuity, ruin low level competitive play.
As far as those "bronze to GM" or "unranked to GM" youtube videos, i dont put any stock in them because the people who do that are already GM skill level, and they know it, so the fact that they are streaming it is no real feat, if were being honest. They are just playing a game to where they belong normally. They are not actually proving anything.
They are proving that it isn't the team that is holding you back which is what so many other bad players claim.
They are pointing out that if you are good enough you will climb out of whatever ♥♥♥♥ rank you are put in.
So if you think you are a "plat" dps player god and placed in "bronze" then you should be able to climb out.
It actually proves EVERYTHING!!
JFC these people!!
