Zzzzz bet you also blame people for other things that happen in your life.

Sad and very miserable really, but you'll evolve past it one day hopefully.

Making assumptions is really a sign of stupidity.
Just don't talk about things you know nothing about and are unable to add anything useful.
Bro in bronze when you are 90% of the time MVP or SVP your team is braindead I had a Scar that was 1/20/0 idk how I played ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Mantis was SVP and outdamage like all of my team
In silver its so much better and more skilled but I guess idk I grind ranked when I can play because of the Moon knight skin and every match im losing I legit cannot rank
its easier to get grandmaster in chess than in MArvel Rivals to Silver

In Bronze it's pretty much just luck. It took me a LONG time to get out of Bronze and now I'm Gold 1. In Bronze you can get a team that utterly stomps the enemy team no contest, and then right after get stomped just as hard to the point you can't leave spawn.

You have to bust your ass a lot more, and are probably going to have to carry your team a lot more frequently to pull it off. There's no way an AI Matchmaker is going to be able to reliably give you good teammates regularly... To be honest you'll probably get more bad teammates then good solo queuing up more then anything.

The problems are two fold. 1) all competitive starts in bronze. They really need placement matches like OW. As it is now, even GM players start in bronze and work their way up. For the GM player, this is great. They get easy games until they can move to where their normal rank is. For the bronze/silver players, it sucks because they have to deal with an endless stream of high level players stomping them into the ground.

and 2) pre-mades vs solo queues. If you are not part of a regular pre-made team, you are going to have a rough time in games like this. Even worse, you end up going up against 6 stacks of GM players trying to rank up themselves, because they all start in bronze and have to play there to get to where they are going.

and as a bonus, 3) smurfs. As we saw in OW, there will always be GM level players who keep a low level account so they can group with their friends, and when they do, they always group in bronze, meaning, no matter what, bronze in this game will always have the raw deal.

Face it, Rivals, at this point, is just OW with different graphics

I'm 18 wins 1 lose in solo queue ranked
and just hit plat 3 SO Yes its possible just gotta believe :)

you can do that only because you are good enough to be in plat, the people who may only be good enough to be bronze, silver, or gold, have a MUCH rougher road, as a solo queue player, due to the fact that they will always be playing against plats, masters and GM's who are working their way up.

Grats that you made it out, the rest of us are stuck with what you left behind

There are definitely some characters as well that are better carry potential. Adam Warlock has been my go-to choice due to doing good damage and healing, and his ult is very good to reverse the tide. I'd often heal people I recognize are really good, prioritizing their survival.

I also recommend getting good at a few characters that are similar (i.e. Warlock is similar to aim mechanics like Hela), and then carry it over to comp. Most importantly, PRACTICE YOUR AIM! Headshots are always better, even if they are harder to hit on squishies, but if you get them even somewhat consistently, you will climb with consistency as well.

It's not really that complicated. Firstly, don't confuse your ELO. with your visible rank. Your ELO moves every match.

You win a match, your elo goes up.
you win another match, your elo goes up.

You are now not fighting the same caliber of people you were when you started. Especially if you had extra good games or it was a stomp. The MM will say, wow he did really good, he must be placed to low, and raise your elo.

You lose a match, your elo goes down.

You now face lesser skilled people, so...

You win a match, your elo goes up.

You now face higher skilled people...

Rinse repeat.

Yes, things like luck, throwers, afkers, and idiots will happen. In the short term, with a small sample size, they can seem to have a large impact. But the more you play, the less those matter in regards to your ELO.

If you're better than those your face on average you will climb. If you somehow got lucky, or boosted by friends and are worse then those around you, you will fall.

When you start trading wins and loses consistently over many games, you are at your skill level and will stay there until you improve your play.

the problem with this is, it only works if you group with a regular team all the time. It doesnt work for solo queue players because, they are going to be grouped with different people of different skill levels every game, so it would be impossible to rate their skill on an ever changing field of players. and given that ALL players, bronze - GM, start in bronze, assessing skill levels of solo queue players is almost impossible.

the only true consistency is if you play with the same people every time.

What is this supposed to be a "dis"? lol. of course im where i belong, i recognize that not a high level player, so you're not telling me anything i dont already know. However, that doesnt change anything. The low level competitive game absolutely sucks right now, because of what i just said.

You think that low level competitive should suffer so people who are high skilled can have fun?

By the way unlike Overwatch 2, which has a punishing rank system where you absolutely must win more than you lose to climb, Marvel Rivals has a super easy and forgiving rank system where you can lose a lot but just need to win once to rank up. And if you perform well and are MVP you get more SR points.

Climbing in this game is super easy, I rank up in just one evening. If I played Comp religiously I might even get to Diamond even playing solo, something I never managed in Overwatch 2.
grats, for those of you who are skilled enough to be able to rank up like that. Some of us, who just want to get to silver or maybe even gold, and are solo queue, will always be stuck due to the fact that every GM level player who starts the game ends up starting with the bronze players. as you said, you are a diamond level player, so you have enough skill to easily bypass the rest of the players around you. Those who are only silver or even gold, have a much lower skill level and makes it even harder for them to rank up.

No difference. In OW you had those Ranking In Games and you got most likely placed around Gold when you did well but not perfectly well. You still had way better Players in any team who just destroy you. It needed some time till everyone was on his level.

And still Years later you had those Bronze to GC Videos on Youtube.

Give the Game and yourself some time and you will be the Rank that you actually deserve.

i understand what you are saying, i just think the way they are going about it really is a bad idea, because it will, for perpetuity, ruin low level competitive play.

As far as those "bronze to GM" or "unranked to GM" youtube videos, i dont put any stock in them because the people who do that are already GM skill level, and they know it, so the fact that they are streaming it is no real feat, if were being honest. They are just playing a game to where they belong normally. They are not actually proving anything.

They are proving that it isn't the team that is holding you back which is what so many other bad players claim.

They are pointing out that if you are good enough you will climb out of whatever ♥♥♥♥ rank you are put in.

So if you think you are a "plat" dps player god and placed in "bronze" then you should be able to climb out.

It actually proves EVERYTHING!!

JFC these people!!
