No, my friend. In ranked, they just pick Iron as a third DPS and refuse to switch until the first game is over at 4 minutes, saying stuff like, "I'll switch after five deaths."
Iron man is basically a better Moon Knight though. More mobility, no reliance on Ankhs to deal cleave damage, and an insta-kill ult. Plus his team-up is more damage instead of a bubble of "I'm in here, please don't shoot AoE damage at me!"
I've been trying to play him a lot lately and it's tough because I mostly have to be self sufficient, know where health packs are and good paths to get to them safely or I die, because I'll be getting almost nothing unless I float back down.
There's been many times that I was playing a nice angle, got a kill on a Mantis, but then a Hela hits me. I'll go back around the corner and use "need healing" but the strategists can't seem to figure out that I'm above them, so I have to go back down to them and keep using it, but then Hela, who's been flanking to get to me because she's pissed at me, kills me and then leaves.
And honestly why play Iron Man entirely on the ground, he's great at getting good angles. If I'm just going to stay on the ground all match it would be better to pick someone else like Squirrel Girl.
Frankly, nobody looks up. This is both true sometimes for the enemy team and also your own team.
