Have 4 PC builds and for me the crashes were only on the newest build with a 9800x3d / Gigabyte Motherboard. Swapping between a 4070 Ti Super and a 4080 Super only crashed on that new build for some reason. Other builds with those GPUs swapped in were fine. After trying all the various recommendations to no avail the one that worked for me was the combo of 1) Roll back the Nvidia Driver to 461 + 2) From the Nvidia Control Panel Disable the shader cache and then re-enable it after clearing the cache + 3) Start the Game in GPU debug Mode from the launcher 4) Set the FPS to 1 below the max of my monitor.

I had gone back and forth with each of those individually and still had crashes but after some desperation with trying all of those together it looks like the combination actually worked! Hope this might help some out there just wanting to play and enjoy Rivals!

This is almost 1:1 with my build except mine is 7800x3D, also Gigabyte mobo. Gonna try this out but its insane we have to jump through all this just to have the bare minimum experience

Hopefully this works for your build. Was getting impatient for a patch fix and relieved that something finally worked where I can just play and enjoy the game (on this build) instead of just dreading and anticipating the next crash where I’d have to quickly try and restart and get back into the same match in time.

Can anyone confirm if this works? Has anyone experienced the crashes with nvidia reflex disabled? I crash after about an hour or so of game time, so I usually just restart the game after every match to avoid the crashes.
I have had both those settings off since i started playing and still crash. def not a fix

same issue, hope the devs can find a fix soon
Nanissaanah Dec 24, 2024 @ 6:58pm

probably its directx 12 issue. Can we launch the game on dx11 or vulkan?

Oh yes ‘561’ from Sept 2025. My other builds have the latest drivers and work fine. Something about this build needed the driver roll back (and the other tweaks).

Nothing has worked for me. Tried everything. It's frustrating because I really like the game.

This seems to work for me. Played 12 games consecutively with no crashes. Not sure if this will hold but no crashes today at least

I only crash when Thor is on the screen. Can't stop it from happening. Still. Ugh!

Disabled V-Sync, disabled Low Latency Mode, FPS limit.
No crashes all week.
What's your FPS limit, if I may ask?
