Jeff Mode Sucks

Sorry it just does.

Filled with sweats. People obviously playing in a group and going around as 4 slaughtering all of the enemy Jeffs that are spread out (which is how most people are playing this), and getting their side to like 98% in 15 seconds.

Getting eaten every 10 seconds and thrown or dropped off the map, the number one thing I hate in this game and now there's 4 people in a match that can do it to me over and over, and they will, especially if I do it to them first then their team will try to get revenge on me for it for the rest of the match.
There was a match where I got solo eaten, thrown off a cliff, respawned, solo eaten, thrown off a cliff, respawned solo eaten and thrown off a cliff again.
Three times in a row.

Spawn killing is a thing because I guess they didn't put in spawn protection. I've spawned and then near immediately died to like 3 Jeffs shooting me.

I hate Jeff. Why did the skin given for free have to be for him?

I absolutely hate the mode as well. Lost 5 in a row and decided I don't need the skin after all.

Ah yes, the funny splatoon shark floor painting arcade gamemode; where all the tryhards flock. Get real man. If anything you're the ''tryhard'' if you're getting this upset over a funny casual gamemode.

Calling someone a 'tryhard' isn’t an insult—it’s a compliment in disguise. If you’re not giving your best effort, what are you doing? Settling for mediocrity? Now that’s the real loss.

Still sucks.

Now the meta of the mode is to never use your ult until someone else ults, otherwise they will just ult and then eat you out of your ult and spit you off the ledge instead, saving their teammates.

So the mode just becomes this never ending cycle of:
Someone on your team ults.
Someone on the enemy team ults to eat them and save their teammates.
You ult to save your own teammates.
Someone from the enemy team ults and eats you and spits you off the ledge.
Just constant counter ults.

It's very annoying and not at all fun. People also typically ult when they're about to die to save themselves from you and then eat you and dump you off a cliff.

The ult should have been disabled in this mode. It ruins the fun of it. It would be 2x better without the stupid constant cycle of ults over and over.

also how are there sweats? you just paint the ground with snow or just show water at the enemies
this just sounds like a cope and Jeffy boy did nothing wrong
also if you see an enemy ult your teammates, you can ult them and spit your teammate out to safety and kill the enemy

That last part is annoying. The ult in this mode just becomes a counter ult, because everyone is Jeff and all earns ults at roughly the same speed. It's annoying to ult, be eaten, by eaten by a teammate and spit out, and then eaten again by another enemy and spit off a ledge in the end anyway.

The sweats are people playing in groups and running around as 4, instead of splitting up, and just rushing down any Jeff they see with right click and demolishing them, going around the map doing this over and over and getting like 12 kills each.

dude i lost 13 in a row. and i was playing with friends. i genuinely hate this game mode we played for an entire hour this awful boring game mode where the objective is to shoot the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ground and we have only won twice. forcing you to win at this awful terrible mode was such a poor design decision i cant even comprehend it. i just want my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and im forced to sweat my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ winky off just to avg 1 win per 10 matches

Every few hours you get a quest that rewards you with golden star outside of the jeff mode, so it might be possible to get the skin without winning games in that gamemode? I am not sure tho, I got the skin today, am happy

you can get the skin just with quickplay instead of arcade mode.... just complete the daily missions for goldstars

Splatoon player here. Literally insane to me how people are not even experimenting with the range of their spray to cover ground faster. Not even to mention people don't listen to pings or try to deny space instead of roaming and having your work undone. Easily doing 13k+ score every round by having spacial awareness. A lot of the ppl I see don't even realize they have the bubble bomb.

If all you're doing is no-braining the game and banging your head against the wall, you're going to get dumpstered on. Same with any other game.

It's horrible to play because most players are literal brain dead or illiterate. They either have zero understanding of the game mode or can't read.

They think it's a PVP mode and just go for eliminations which is rage inducing because that's how I lose consecutive matches. Anyhow, I got Jeff's winter costume and I will never play this game mode again. See ya never!
