Concord failed cause it was overcooked by executives wanting the devs to redo its designs over and over until it all got washed out. they initially had this celshaded style that was great but got cast aside for blandness multiple reiterations ago from final release.

the thing is nobody actually gives a damn either way. Its all a bunch of media outrage ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for views. The "modern gaming audience" is in fact a lie and gamers are just gamers. Girls, boys men women, LGBT or not. Nobody cares either way, either they like a character design or they dont.

Unknown indie games like Mechabreak had one during the same time period, within the same genre, and reached over 50k players.
