Collectibles: Marvel Rivals Version of Overwatch 2 Souvenirs ('-')??

Alright, Marvel Rivals fans, I need answers. What’s the deal with these collectibles?
Are they just eye candy, like those Overwatch 2 souvenirs you whip out mid-match to impress your teammates or confuse your enemies? (*◠⛛ ◠)hahahahaha
Or do they actually do something? Asking for a friend... who may or may not have already hoarded a bunch...
