The game requires people to change characters regularly, so it wouldn't be helpful if people were locked into a role.

Quite a few times I had to change roles to win a game.

I agree with you, a team hero shooter should be about being a team. Meaning every team should at least have a vanguard a duelist and a strategist.

Me and about half the player base will literally stop playing if this happens. No one should be forced to play characters they don't want to... But people also need to understand that the game pretty much requires you to change your character at least once per game or else it's a 2-0 win or lose. Unranked games are made for people to play with whatever they want, but ranked games are made for people that want to play characters that will influence the game in a favorable way to their team, or against the enemy team. If someone is "monochamp" he shouldn't be playing ranked in the first place.

I think they need one in ranked, not quick match. It's not fun trying to rank when you're solo tank or solo healer. People are going to get annoyed after the honeymoon phase and move to a game that has a more stable form of rank progression.
