System not connecting to chat channel?

So I went to a bots match to try and hope my team would roll Hulk so I can knock Iron Man's quest out. The whole match, I was not in any chat channel. Even when someone joined my party there was no chat channel.

Has anyone else run into this? I'm rebooting the game to see if it's still acting up
