can we PLEASE buff some characters (mainly wolverine)
i can NOT be the only one here who feels like the devs put more care into how caked up the characters were than they did to balancing

hummm yesterday, the top player in the world on the leaderboard was a Wolverine main. The hero must be viable.

Wolverine only need some hitbox ajustement.
The grab of his Leap at close range is too short ! shorter than his claws range.

Wolverine's ultimate launches enemies into the air by a certain height, and Wolverine jumps to the same height. If, by bad luck, the enemy happens to jump just as the ultimate is activated, they’ll be sent to their jump height plus the ultimate’s height, meaning the enemy ends up higher than Wolverine. This makes it impossible to bring them back to the ground with the second part of the ultimate.

Ground target for the dive: When Wolverine is in the air, there’s a circular target on the ground that defines the impact zone for his dive. However, the target disappears if it’s too close to a piece of terrain or a wall, leaving you stuck! By the time you figure this out and reposition, I’ve already been killed mid-air. You have to understand that if you don’t dive quickly, airborne enemies are free to move around and can attack you!

I really am not a fan of this argument. Yes, there are high rank players that can do well with him, but the vast majority of the playerbase doesnt. The simple truth is there are many DPS characters that can do what he does, but infinitely better.

I think you would find my talk about him more of an interesting point of this character.

A character doesn't need to be easy to use or noob friendly to be effective though. Plenty of characters in Overwatch, Dota, League, and even this game have high skill ceilings and only shine in the hands of a pro. Scarlet Witch exists to be noob friendly with low damage for balance while Iron Man requires professional skills to be effective. It's not a case of "oh iron man too weak, buff now" because people who know how to use him can do so very well. Likewise, Scarlet Witch isn't OP just because she stomps noobs, most duelists outdamage her. Wolverine's another who requires a special kind of playstyle to use effectively and really shines against Vanguards who think they're immortal because they're being healed. If you've ever been in a stalemate where a very tanky hero was being hit by two healers at the same time and it's nearly impossible to take him down, Wolverine is your guy.

All it means is in a pro game, Wolverine and Iron Man will be utilized, while in a noob match they will be considered bottom tier. That's how balance is achieved... you play the hero that suits the type of player you are and the type of game you're running.

Can you?

The reason Wolverine is not "good" is because players are using him wrong.
He's suppose to be anti-Vanguard, not "I'm diving the backline to wipe their healers"
That's other melee DPS's job. Wolverine's job is to remove a Vanguard from the frontlines to open up the enemy team to get slaughtered. This is supported by his % Max HP damage.
Wolverine is fine, people just suck at using him. The only reason I don't use him is because nearly every team I end up with needs either a Vanguard or Strategist slot filled.
