Bots in quick play MEGATHREAD - videos, screenshots and replays

You know it, the feeling when you lose 2 games in a row, jump into another game in quick play and then you see enemies walking towards you, not using any abilities. If you refuse to attack, they will use basic attack on you after 2 seconds of circling around you and if you are close to dying they will start missing all of their shots, meanwhile bots on your team (sometimes they are real people suffering with you) are superior.

This is not a game, this is a social experiment about how many people are stupid and will not realize it (quite a lot judging by posts about how there are no bots) and about if players will be ok with it and keep playing. I am not a lab rat. If I click to play PvP, I want PvP, not veilded PvE so I can feel better after few lost games.

This should be illegal to be honest, or at least Steam should ban games that are lying to their players, but well, what can you expect from China.

This is big, after 3 lost game I managed to be the only human in the whole game. You can see it by the behavior and names of the rest. Also, I made like 15 prompts asking anyone to type anything. Nobody did.

I already suspected bots are always aiming for 2-2-2 composition, this game confirmed it. Another thing is if I was the only player in whole game it confirms without a doubt it is Netease who stands behind the bots.

I realized it quickly I play with bots so I didn't play - basically let my team play 5v6. it is impossible to lose. If you analyze objective number 2, both bots play evenly, but enemy won objective because of 6v5 advantage. However, if you look at objective 3, you see my team plays godly and enemy dumbs down, it was not even a contest. It is rigged so you WILL win.

Additional info: Game was searching for match like 20 seconds, what is a lot for this game. It's very possible it had trouble to find anyone else with lose streak, that's why I ended alone in my team. I regret I didn't swap hero to see if bots will also switch to aim for composition 2-2-2.

How do I know these were bot games - if you click on the match and try to inspect profile of a bot, it says you can't. As you see, all bot matches occurred after lost games, almost all took 2-3 lost matches, however at the end I needed only 1 lost match for it to occur.

Thanks to the user "Nyattery Acid" it is confirmed without a doubt that bots faced in qp are from NetEase itself and not outside source. Post marked as an answer to this thread.

If someone is still on the fence (for whatever reason) about existence of bots thanks to the user "Johan" I learned that on the website tracker(dot)gg instead of a name bots are described just as a "BOT". Example below.

Yeah, had a game last night that fits the bill - first round the enemy didn't get a single kill. Playing as Squirrel Girl and they just running from the spawn directly into my (very easy to dodge) bombs

but the thing that really tipped me off, was eaten by the enemy Jeff and they did exactly what AI does and just circles around instead of trying to spit me off the map

This was after a couple of games where I was getting my butt kicked and getting a bit salty, so I'm inclined to believe this theory that the game is trying to give you an "ego boost" to keep you playing

lost three games while learning jeff, next game after is 2-2-2 all running forward and just pressing cooldowns with no purpose, every enemy adam ult was to rez one player.

they need to remove these lobbies its worse than just continuing to lose than get a pity "baby's first loss streak " win

Stumbled upon this thread and thought it was a wild conspiracy until I looked at some of my previous matches in QP. And what do you know in both my wins and loses I see "players" with a similar naming scheme and play styles. This is a bit disheartening because I really don't enjoy playing comp(Only playing to get to gold so I can get the Moon Knight skin) and I'd rather my ass get handed to me then get a pity win from the game. I'd probably uninstall if it wasn't for the fact a lot of my friends play this game but I'm most certainly going to bring this up the next time we play.

Encountered Bots in Competitive, but people using the Program for the bots as an outside tool, to auto game, but these ones were running sideways straight at you and Auto attack until you were dead. I found even more so that it was because i was behind the spawn barrier and it was just running into it spamming auto attack.

It's honestly somewhat validating because I almost have a hundred hours in the game and throughout my playtime I thought something was "off" about the game. Then I started to compare it to what it was like to play OW1 on launch and how when I went on losing streaks I generally would lose the game for six to eight matches before squeaking a win. While in Rivals once I started to get a hang of the game and the characters I decided to main, it seemed closer to 50/50.(Dare I say 60/40 at times) It was especially odd when I started to practice characters I wasn't familiar with. I'd go from one game where I get destroyed because I sucked for obvious reasons and the next game i'd absolutely steamroll with the same character. And it really did not add up when I started playing comp when it seemed closer to my experience with OW1 matches. I thought the game might have been throwing me a soft ball in QP by matching me with newer players or people that weren't as great as the game to give me a win. Didn't think the truth was worse then that lmao.

I generally wonder now how many people jump into comp thinking they're good at a character(Especially characters that have a high skill ceiling) because at least 25% to 50% of their wins are against bots in QP. Then they learn the hard way that they're actually at best just okay at the character and at worse they just suck with them. Which there's nothing wrong with not being godlike at the game but for a lot of people that's a very tough pill to swallow. So while bots haven't been reported in comp, I would say the bots negatively effect it in that way. At least in lower ranks where the vast majority of the player base is probably going to be in.

Sometimes I think that these kind of people deny the facts because they might be from the company that made the game.

If you close and reopen your game after 3 consecutive losses, it avoids the bots oddly(Excluding the ones you get if you get stomped)

I figured this out as I installed a bunch of mods that were crashing the game and noticed I never see them really much anymore.

ngl im level 42 and i dont see bots ever anymore the game kinda just lets me lose lol although i did have one bot match after 4 losses all profiles private

my record is 24 wins 21 losses, 9 of those 24 wins are bot matches so really im 15/21. last 10 matches ive lost 6 and won 4 bot matches. feels bad

This only happens in Chinese games, no hate on anyone but this is the truth.
in most other games the bots are named ( Bot ) or ( Ai ) But in Chinese games they give them edgy gamer names in an attempt to trick players that they are not bots, its so disrespectful.
