And it's not even just individual character imbalance; the roles are extremely imbalanced as well. Combined with the completely open roles in matches, this leads to some extremely unfun metas in competitive.
A game can be fun and chaotic and disordered without being so imbalanced that more than half the roster isn't worth playing.
Could be just that Groot ult is so underwhelming, but still. If you compare timer between getting ult on tank vs. dps/healer, its still noticeable that when I play Luna/raccoon etc. my ult charges way faster than on tanks. If they can adjust individual ult recharge timers, I would imagine that its one of the ways devs can adjust certain ults being bit too strong in current situation.
Instead, I think there are easy to use noob friendly heroes and there are high skill cap heroes. One of the top players in the game mains both Iron Man and Hela. Normally, per these boards, Iron Man sucks and Hela is god. But he has better stats and more kills per game with Iron Man. Clearly he knows what he's doing while the complainers may not. Balance is hard to see when you're only viewing it from your own perspective, your own failings and shortcomings. How many of you have looked at competitive replays or watched people on twitch to see how the pros play the same character you think sucks or is overpowered?
