It may not be EXACTLY hitscan, but we have plenty of similar projectiles in this game. Linear projectiles that might not be instantaneous hits but have high travel speed and very low bullet spread. Come on... Do I really need to specify every little thing?
Almost all characters can counter a slow-flying hero, even those with zero escape mechanisms. If you want to keep the laser rifles and SMGs, at least improve the mobility of some excessively vulnerable heroes.
