just how many things did marvel produce starting from their initial business kickstarting all the way back? if back in the day what marvel did was considered to be quite new and unique, we are currently living at times where that's not the case anymore, as there are more entertainment products out there nowadays. something that didn't have that much of a creative effort like comics, marvel movies to begin with are all for the most part now considered generic and pointless. everything related to marvel either fails or gets a temporary popularity for it to plummet in terms of numbers again. that's exactly where the marvel rivals comes in. the entire thing won't really have that much of a professional persistent support like overwatch games or other more dedicated hero shooters. marvel rivals is just another way of "marvel" to sustain popularity and to push their new products and movies that people don't really want. however, once marvel rivals outgrows its usefullness for that particular reason, this game, along with other things they've produced will be abandoned, as it's no longer practical to have those loose ends around that they will have to respond to in quality for years to come. it's a lot more efficient to control hype to push newer things, rather than just beating an old dog that's way too old to do anything. this entire "marvel" thing is too outdated and uninteresting at this point in time. the community and the industry have moved on.

I actually started watching everyithing Marvel I missed in recent 10 years (Grok helpful) and watched Kraven in cinema just because I have fun playing Rivals. Also the best thing is wondering what hero they will release next and what abilities he/she will have! I was never interested in new heroes in MOBA that I was playing... they only bring even more imbalance... but this is exciting.

And CANON lore skins? Skins from movies? Some are interesting (Gladiator CA? It happened n comics? Interesting!) and some just look cool. Its a nice addition to skins that are purely made up by devs... and saying that after unlocking mecha Mantis today... devs can cook too.
