Config file update
At this time, we kindly advise against modifying any game files in Marvel Rivals, as it may lead to unexpected issues. We truly appreciate your concerns about config file changes, and we want you to know that we’re actively working on optimizing this aspect for future updates. Thank you so much for your understanding and support!

So they advise against it but no official saying you will get ban.

I mean its a config file & i am assuming here (my take) unexpected issues means as mouse accel/smoothing is not currently supported it may cause issues.

Can you provide a screenshot at least like where they answered you

I found it, they said it in their discord server

The way I read it they don't have any issue with people doing it, but are warning that anticheat might flag it as malicious tampering and take automatic action. Good to know. I'll take the chance, but I appreciate being able to make an informed decision.

They removed all external changes to the config files. The engine.ini script for fps boost and stable framerate doesn't work anymore. Mouse acceleration is on now too

Huh? Every config change I did is still in the files and the game didn't revert anything to "vanilla" for me.

Hahahaha... Netease stopped allowing custom configs so people can work around the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ performance thanks to UE5 by turning unnecessary ♥♥♥♥ off?

Unreal Engine 5 developers are NGMI.

I tried specific comfig that supposed to improve fps by visuall downgrade, but when i got into game, launched practice, performarnce or visual quality didnt change, so i assume that is true that config files got removed

and than i got pc crash so neither game stability or performance got improved

Strange. because I use my custom Engine.ini with turned off visual bloat and improvements to performance and my performance is the same as before update and all those visual things are still off. I didn't change to read-only or anything. Maybe I got lucky?

EDIT: Nevermind, now they are gone, though naked mods are still working lol.

Yeah I'm also surprised but after all the skin mods are client only. No one else can see them and they are in separate, user created folder.

The .ini config files are also all client-side only. In fact, skin mods could specifically be used to cheat by revealing enemies around corners when they aren't supposed to be, by making characters stand out more, by making psylocke's "hit while cloaked" model opaque, etc.
