Engagement Based Match Making (EOMM), picks games, specifically to help someone win, and therefore have fun. That fun could be targeted at you, where the game would make your team better than the enemies, or it could be targeted at someone on the enemy team, stacking their team to be better than yours. This is in alternative, to Skill Based Match Making (SBMM), where the game tries to place you with enemies and teammates, close to your skill level. This is a flawed system, because most SBMM systems, place you based off previous games , i.e. you lose a game, you then get placed with other people who lost their previous games, and usually also share similar stats (some systems ignore your stats, meaning you can get placed with top ranks, just because you both lost previous games). For players looking for a more casual experience, EOMM tends to provide a more enjoyable experience, because the game actively tries to give you winning games, after a loss. But for players looking to hone their skills, or who find the competition more fun than just simply winning, SBMM can be more enjoyable.
The fact of the matter is, the majority of players, hate to lose, more than they like to get better, and win through the improvement of their skills; and getting placed with similarly skilled players, tends to make for harder fought games, therefore more devastating losses.
You might have noticed that many players of this game, have not figured out that they suck, and so the only way for them to win, and have fun, is to have some wins handed to them. It's an ego problem, and once people learn that you will ALWAYS suck, no matter your rank or tournament placement , only then is when you can get better.
Good luck in all y'all's games!
QP should just be ping based. The best server for me is oregon. But when I select oregon, dallas, virginia... it always goes to dallas or north virginia.
i am over 50% win rate on both my main and my alt so there are so many holes in the foil hats saying these things
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3411698670 unless my math dont math its over 50%
They can't be told anything. They're just gonna go on hating the fact that they can't get a 70% win rate by gaming old queue math.
Some PvPers aren't really interested in a fair fight or a level playing field. They only want what benefits them as much as possible.
You mean being based for free? Absolutely.
